In December 2019, my wife and I took a trip to Chicago

It was great. It was her first time seeing snow, we went on a submarine at MSI, saw some dolphins at Shedd Aquarium, and an awesomely weird circus show. The only problem was that about half-way through the trip, I realized that we had already blown through the budget I had planned on. I’m a big budgeter (YNAB for life!) and pretty meticulously track our expenses, so this was unfamiliar territory for me. I think we spent something like $100 on Ubers alone! It stressed me out, and it definitely put a damper on the second half of our trip. I built Itinee to help avoid this problem in the future.

Now, I know my way around a spreadsheet, and believe me, I had a spreadsheet for this trip--several in fact, but things still slipped through the cracks. On top of that, my wife is terrified of spreadsheets, won’t get anywhere near them. We both had two totally different ways of planning a trip: me with my jumble of spreadsheets, and her with her pen and notebook. I built Itinee to be a simple, no-frills trip planning platform that we’d both enjoy using. I won’t say she’s unbiased, but she did assure me that it’s much better than a spreadsheet.

Maybe you’ve found yourself in a similar situation, mid-trip and out of dough. Maybe you’ve been dreaming of taking a trip but just never feel like you can afford it. Whatever your situation, I hope Itinee can help you see a little bit more of the world with a little less stress.
